C. Lente

About the Website

My name is C. Lente and this is my personal page. Here I’ve made available all my texts and keynotes related to programming, specially those regarding the R language.

Currently I’m a Computer Science master’s student at IME-USP under Prof. Dr. Roberto Hirata’s supervision, partner and data scientist at Terranova Consulting, and partner and teacher at Curso-R (which, by the way, is where most of my blog posts start).

The subjects of the posts vary from simple tutorials for those new to the world of Computer Science to summaries of scientific papers. Every post is listed chronologically on the left side of the page, with a marking on those that I consider more important or interesting. In order not to break the layout, I shortened some of the titles so that they fit in the sidebar.

I write mostly in Portuguese, so the main version of this website is actually at lente.dev, where I list all of my texts, not only those in English.

If you have any questions, the best way to reach me is via email or on GitHub.

The philosophy behind the most recent version of this website is simple: to be safe, private and stable. When you access any page on this domain, you can:

  • Trust that I’m doing my best to guarantee that it doesn’t put you in any kind of danger, so here you don’t need to worry about JavaScript, non-HTTPS traffic or even cookies;
  • Know that I respect your privacy as much as I’d like mine to be respected, so I don’t have any ads, trackers or analytics installed;
  • Expect that it will stay alive and stable as long as I have enough money to pay for hosting, because I try to follow as much as possible the principles of Designed to Last.

This website is hosted on Namecheap and was created using Hugo, Blogdown, and an adaptation of the Book theme.
